NVY Launches Power+ LED TV With Built-In Battery for Up to 3 Hours of Viewing

NVY has introduced its Power+ LED TV with an in-built battery offering up to 3 hours of viewing during power cuts, including support for connected Set-Top Boxes and Wi-Fi modems, as the Indian brand expands its reach across 28 states.

Power cuts continue to disrupt television viewing in Indian households, interrupting entertainment, live sports, news, learning and family time. Indian consumer-electronics brand NVY has introduced the Power+ LED TV, a television designed to address these interruptions with an integrated battery system that supports continued viewing for up to 3 hours during power outages.

Unlike conventional televisions that rely on external backup solutions, the NVY Power+ LED TV features an in-built battery designed to power the television and charge and power connected devices, including the Set-Top Box and Wi-Fi modem. The system aims to maintain an uninterrupted viewing experience even when the regular power supply is unavailable.

Conceived and developed in India for Indian consumers, the NVY Power+ LED TV is positioned by the company as a first-of-its-kind innovation addressing the specific power-related challenges faced by Indian households.

The product also reflects the broader objectives of Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, demonstrating NVY's approach to identifying domestic consumer needs, investing in in-house research and development (R&D), and developing technology solutions for the Indian market.

“Power interruptions should not mean an interruption to family time, entertainment or access to important live content,” said Mr. Ricky Gosain, Chairman & CEO, Reach NVY Pvt. Ltd. “Our R&D team began with a simple question: why should consumers need separate power-backup solutions just to continue watching television? The NVY Power+ LED TV is our answer. It is an indigenous innovation designed around a distinctly Indian consumer need.”

NVY's R&D team developed the Power+ LED TV in-house, combining practical engineering with an understanding of television-viewing habits in Indian households. Instead of treating power backup as an external accessory, the company has integrated the solution into the television itself.

The launch reflects NVY's focus on technology that goes beyond conventional feature upgrades to deliver practical benefits in everyday use. Through its growing television portfolio, the brand continues to emphasise reliability, accessibility and innovations tailored to Indian consumers.

NVY LED TV has also established a presence among Indian audiences through its association with cricket. The brand has been the official partner of the IPL RCB team for the last eight years, a relationship that has contributed to its visibility and credibility in the consumer-electronics market.

The company's product-development approach also aligns with the Prime Minister's “Vocal for Local” message. By focusing on domestic requirements and in-house R&D, NVY aims to demonstrate how Indian enterprises can design and develop products suited to the needs of local consumers.

To expand its reach, NVY has tied up with Reliance for retail and distribution in India. The arrangement is intended to improve consumer access to its products, with NVY LED TV now available across 28 states, highlighting the scale of its distribution footprint and its ambition to serve households nationwide.

With the Power+ LED TV, NVY aims to establish a new category in the television market in which uninterrupted viewing is built into the product rather than offered as an additional convenience. Its integrated battery solution is designed to keep television entertainment, live content and connected devices operational during power interruptions for up to 3 hours.
